Different team combinations can do very differently depending on the opposition. A fast-burst attack team can very easily tilt a battle in their favour by killing an enemy fast, but lose badly if their enemy has good enough defenses to survive. A team with no healer can often overpower other teams, but lose painfully against someone using status effects. The key thing to look at here is that he's the first ninja to do Water/Wind boosting, so you'd want to see what great combos involving those elements you can pull off.Wind Main-has abilities that work well with kunoichi, but many preferred kunoichi tend to be water-type. He also boosts the Akatsuki girls combo (Konan and Summoner Pein).Water Main-has abilities that empower curse seals, do poison on taijutsu, and do chaos on crit. Kidomaru is great for her, as a) his mystery can poison everyone first round, b) he can get powered up by curse seal boost and c) as a shield-type defender he pairs wonderfully with water main.The chaos point is also worth keeping in mind, as it means he works well with 9-tails cloak Naruto and either water main or Tsunade. (I'm fond of the latter because it's always nice seeing family members get along. :D)

Realistically, the key usages of 4-tails naruto rely on building around him as a frontline combatant, however given his mid-level defense and the difficulty of raising his stars, boosting his survivability is key.As such, the 'Jinchuuriki team' is always a good start-Kazekage Gaara, Naruto and Killer Bee. Since some of them have higher chakra costs, they pair well with a main who can provide chakra (fire, wind or lightning mains). This basic set-up c*so be adjusted for other options, depending on what ninjas you have. You can switch out Gaara or Bee for Pein-Jigokudo or Akatsuchi, though I'd suggest keeping Gaara for the continual survivability of his shielding and his barrier.Alternatively, 4-tails has a crit-boosting abiliting that lasts longer than GNW Tenten's (and doesn't need to be kept on the rear lines like her), so he works well in a crit-focused team. Tsunade, Haku and the Water Main all have 'inflict chaos upon crit', although as Water main's ability works for the whole team, the other two are less important if you have a Water Main/4-tails team.The ideal choice here to add would be Edo Tensei Haku, as he is the only one with a Water/Wind barrier, however since he has only been even technically attainable for....uh, a couple of hours at most as of this post, I won't assume you have him.As such, since Mei's mystery is redundant with Naruto's, I'd recommend Darui and either Hinata or Kimimaro to round off the formation. There are a few options for working with Earth Main and Minato. Both Oonoki and Gaara can provide appropriate barriers, so you have a fair bit of freedom. Personally, I'd suggest a defensive team featuring Gaara, Crimson Fist, Minato and Gakido. You'll have a barrier, one or two choices of shield, anti-status effect (particularly useful since poison and ignite are the usual counter to shields), Crimson Fist is able to interupt and Minato is there to up the damage. You might need to check what the ideal chase for that set-up would be though.For a more offensive option, try combing Crimson Fist, Oonoki, Minato and Hidan. Multiple tags with Oonoki able to randomly allow more, and a fair amount of survivability.
