The event is useful for most players, it just changes how you use refines for the event. New players can just use low refines for the easy value. Other players should try to just split up their refine use on stuff they want to upgrade and level them all evenly, stopping before the bar gets too high, until they hit the maxium rewards for the event. You only get wish credits if the item upgrades, so by spreading out your refine use to level them all to 20-30%, you're just setting up all your equips for the wish credit refine event. If you hapen to get crazy lucky and proc an upgrade early...then that sort of makes up for the wish credit you lost.The main danger level is 6 -> 7, because a "lucky" early proc can make you lose out on advanced rune wish credit.EDIT: I'm mostly just annoyed that I need to keep waiting to spend my refines, since there's no reason for me to spend them after getting max rewards. Most of the people complaining don't seem to have actually thought about splitting up the refine use and are mad that they lose wish credit by thoughtlessly spamming all the refines on one piece of gear like you do for the other refine event (which is not how you should do it for this new event). I'm hoping that they see how many people prefer the old refine event and maybe, just maybe add it in. To their credit, they DO actually modify/add events to be nice, like extending the Shinobi Feast event we just had to last the whole week to sync up with the platinum recharge and give people more time to do the arena quests.Having both refine events at once would be amazing, but I'd settle for having them split up if they want to do the half week thing. But just giving people the option would be a nice gesture.

I'm hoping it'll be like the new seal scroll rebate event where they can show up less than a month apart from each other. Otherwise I'll be sitting on these refines for a while.Would be nice if they could add the other refine event too, but I doubt they can/want to. But since this event is running from June 4th - 7th, maybe they can have the other one from June 1st - 4th so people can choose which refine event they want?

One of them is probably in the Ninetails Strength eventAlso, not sure what to do with refines this week. While I totally get this sentiment because going from top rewards -> less rewards definitely *s, I'm not sure they ever intended sage world to be as lucrative as it was. based on what you're saying, on your server a little under half the real (non-alt) players were getting top 3 rewards, which seems a bit silly.This is sort of like the TI ninja tools nerf. The tools were never intended to have such high secondary stats, but people got used to it so it really *s when they changed it. Although I think that was worse because the people who got tools before the change got to keep them and they're permanent boosts. It's also similar to how GNW on dead server is basically free seal scrolls for everyone who participates, so I wouldn't be surprised to see that changed eventually too.

Yeah someone with multiple standard attacks definitely makes combo look more attractive.Also, I just passed 20,500 points and still no reds or primary stat yellows, just a bunch of wood, ice, and corrosion yellows.....

IDK about usefulness, but I use sand runes because the bonus I get from them is proportionally larger than most of the other secondary stat runes (about 60% of my base damage reduction stat) and for some reason they give a lot of power.Explosive is probably better over gale most of the time since it always does something, but it probably depends on your team.

One of the problems is just the available ninjas we have. Heavy control teams that can layer debuffs or lots of mass ignite are helpful, but most of the ninjas that can do that are rare (Susanoo Itachi/Ninetails Naruto) or otherwise lackluster (Deidara).Some of those proposed changes would make the healer teams basically useless. It's easy to perceive them to be really strong when watching them because of how they can get back to full health/end fights at full health, but they're often riding a fine line between victory and defeat. If just one of them ever goes down, it usually means game over. It's just a different playstyle than most teams that people need to adjust to.

Is there a minimum point threshold for matching people in arena? When chain queuing I seem to keep running into the same people even if I keep losing/winning to them. Does this mean that they're also winning/losing to someone else to stay close to me in points or can you get matched up with anyone in ranked if the timer goes for too long?EDIT:For context, lost to the same person 4 or 5 times in a row. So our point difference went on a 8-10 point swing from the first match to the last, probably more since they would have started getting +2 from a streak. A few days ago, I ran into someone else 4 times in 6 fights and won all of them and they said they kept running into me in a row (but I have no way to confirm this is true or just an exageration, unlike my last example). Hinata is more useful overall and is easier to 5 star because you can get her frags in the ranked shop. Neji is useful early/mid game and for F2P Hanzo SA and a few ninja exams, but I don't usually see people use him anymore.
