Bumping because an answer to this would be appreciated. If it was a part of 3.0 then Germany, who have had it well over a month before we ever did, would have done it long by now. If its not 3.0 then why nerf it without reason? Its not like people had too much vitality.

It depends on the event. At germany him and masked Obito came out in the same event, with unlimited redeem for items that you could buy with coupon. So yah, if you had mad cash to throw around, you could even 5 star him if you wanted.We may never get that however, like it seems we will never get the Naruto-tower mini-game event.

"
Two sages with fire main can work quite well, yes. My most common team is them with Mei, for the immobile and just burning everything. With mirror mystery on main you can kind of deal with debuffs, ninjutsu urge gives limited healing. Either clone to protect Jiraya if you put main behind him, or Bani chakra if you want both sages mysteries round 2. Alternatively you could swap Mei for Onoki, if you want to buff Naruto as well. You lose immobile (unless main uses 3rd mystery) and bit of ignite, but you usually overall gain a bit of damage...unless of course you get hella unlucky with Onokis back pains.Bani chakra to main and Tendo to spot 4, if you dont get leeched then you can get Tendos mystery off round 1, kinda nasty. You get acupuncture too to combo, but no immobile. Or then if you just need/want more healing for survival trial for example, you could put a healer in spot 4. Sailor Sakura or Tsunade would be probably best choices, but Kabuto or Jigokudo if you have him can work too.

[Help] How do i get skill books for the breakthrough thing?

Go to ninja, go to the screen that has awaken, cultivate, mood etc, then hit the Breakthrough. The ninjas who currently have skill books will show up on the list, select the one of them you want. The skills will show up, and the ones that can currently be booked are colored while the ones you can't are dark/grey. Click the one you want to book, it shows up an orange *on below, along with the icon for the book you need for it, as well as either 0/1 if you dont have the book or 1/1 if you do.If you dont have the book, click that *on and it will show you how many frags of that ninja you need to exchange for the book. If you have enough frags, you can exchange, then it should change it to 1/1 and you can click again to book the skill. Two things to keep in mind are that first off you need to have the ninja to be able to see their skills, and they have to be at least 4 star for you to be able to book any of them. If their skills can be booked twice to reach +2, it takes 5 star. I am not however sure if the star requirement applies to rare ninjas, such as Hashirama and Tobirama. I have heard some people say you will only need 3 star to be able to book them, and 4 star if they can book up to +2. But I have not been able to confirm this.

Nagato is kind of wasted unless you are planning on using other Edo Tensei ninjas later on. Jiraya however can have multiple uses, especially if you dont have sage naruto.

Next update to skills will be more ninjas that can be booked, possibly Tsunade among them. The actual skill 'breaks', for Y skills and the like, will be coming later. In cases like Sasuke, not sure if he'll get rest of his stuff when breaks come, or before that as books.
