Honestly you are going to have disappointed players regardless. Telling us the updates before is what we need. Posting the updates after you already put them in is not ideal. You telling us that you don't do it cause something can go wrong is bascially telling us you guys aren't confident. It's silly and quite tiring knowing that is the sole reason why you don't post before.
