I'd say Kimi and Karin better off, Kisame can be kinda beastly but doesn't tend to live long enough, and Kakashi is unfortunately a sub par ninja. Kimi is one of the best tanks in the game, and Karin gives you a little sustain and nice DoT.

It took a long while for me to defeat it, I eventually had to wait till I was strong enough to over power it, and even then only got 1 star for some time, went back and 3 star it a while later. It is rather difficult.

I find the Kage shield givers change are better, they give a little less, but in some cases they didn't have enough shields for even your main team in some instances, so shielding more people I feel is better, however, that is neither here nor there when it comes to Hiruzen, that seems pretty messed up :) I'll test mine.
