Sure, my initiative is very low. If matching were the same in in rank as in training, I wouldn't complain. But it isn't, and I go lose-win-lose-win-lose-lose-win-win-lose-win since days, because I always get the same opponents that beat me easily before. At the end of hours of grinding, I stand +/- 0 if I am lucky.

It would be easier not to lose rank points after a loss. Win a fight, get one rank point. lose a fight, no points. Then anybody could grind their way up over time, and losing wouldn't be as frustraing as it is now. If needed, the points required to reach a new rank could be adjusted.

then those 70% of the time you will most likely get the same person again.It goes like this, for starters, each "cluster", like I said, only have 50-100 server.Given how few people actually do arena, the number of participant might be 50 (note a lot of servers are kinda dead, the first 5 of each region might supply 10-20 of that)The number of people you can be matched to, due to rank, is about 20.Assuming average of 15s in Q, 15s loading and 3 min battle, only 1/14 of that, or 1-2 of that, is in Q at anytime.You know who is almost certainly in Q at the same time as you? The person who you just fought who might have also re-Qed immediately, ergo super high chance of getting him again.If you get someone twice in a row and lose to him (and expect to lose to him if faced again), don't re-Q right away, instead wait around 90s so that he is probably beating up some other poor chap then re-Q, you will likely get a different person.... unless arena is way more dead than what I'm estimating here.(Also, if your cluster is on the small side due to being a lower server count region or whatever.... well....)This doesn't convince me, as my waiting times get up to 15-30 minutes at times. I queue for Arena again right away about 70% of the time. Sometimes I have to check group chat or something else which I can't see from the Arena waiting room.

But there are over 300 servers, and even if you substract the ervers that aren't older than 60 days, there have to be some other players. And yet, there are only a handful of opponents each day. Something can't be right.

Matchmaking is broken. From my last 10 fights, I had the same guy six times and another one three times. No way is this truly cross server.

Matchmaking is also *! 80% of the time I am queue'd against someone with higher initiative and isn't balanced.I never have the initiative in Arena. This must mean I am the slowest player of the entire game. Yet, before 2.0 it wasn't difficult to reach Six Paths, because I didn't get paired with the ever same opponents. What Arena is for me: if I ever manage to win a match, the next match I get paired with one of the same 5 guys that * me in two, max three rounds. 300+ server, an I always get the same guys? Yeah right. Too bad it'll take me months to reach Super Kage again (if ever), but if I do, that will be my last rank arena match ever.

From an F2P perspective: While the Daily Special event is great in itself, I find myself (of course) with a limited amount of coupons. Since we cannot see the deals on the following days, I usually save my coupons to see if frags from a ninja I really need will be available. In the end, I don't get to enjoy the event much because I saved up just in case (or, during the last DS, I used coupons only to find that I should have saved them). Either way isn't really satisfactory. It would be great if we'd get to know which deals are ahead. Otherwise, it's just an event I am missing out.
