There are a ton of reasons. One example is to help out other players. To chat with them what item(s) they need to do a certain action.Another example is to show another player/group the stats of an item you have.

I have one suggestion.Suggestion: To be able to "link" items in chat. All the other un-official Naruto MMORPG games have this option/ability. Kinda sad that we do not.Suggestion: To be able to use the greater then/less then ( > & < ) in chat. Don't know why those two characters are blocked.

NY servers means it's almost 11:30am at the time of this post. (Eastern Time). LA servers means it's almost 8:30am at the time of this post. (Pacific Time)-Hope this post helps.
