I might consider changing to a team that doesn't use Sasuke and instead use Anko on another team to give you that fire buff.But take that with a grain of salt, I'm not a fire main.

I would agree the issue with normal Zabuza on a team that isn't solely water is that he blinds your team as well. Which totally defeats the purpose of if you're not running a full water team. On top of that, it's difficult to run a full water team that also does enough damage.

Since you don't have Zabuza, I'll need to think of someone to replace him, but when I was a lower level I had good luck with Tenten, Haku, and and Zabuza, though you may be able to replace Zabuza with a healer like Sakura or Kabuto in order to use your main for damage. The combos not absolutely fantastic but what is good is the crit buff Tenten gives you (especially if you c*e neurotoxin) or using water boosting and doing as much damage as possible to take out a main.However, this sort of formation won't work past level 50. Water's primary role is being the best healer in the game, or doing an absolutely insane amount of poison dmg. (Personally I use her as a tanky healer and rely on my team to do the primary damage).

Also there is a good AOE team (especially now with people getting GNW Kankuro) that is Naruto, Gaara, and GNW Kankuro, set up so your front line keeps the Naruto clones around long enough to get off two rasenshurikens and a kankuro mystery. And do at least one of those in Gaara's wind buffing mystery. It can be really good against teams that clone spam or don't have a lot of aoe damage, but c*so be pretty weak against teams that can take out the Naruto clones easily. The trick is getting Gaara to shield the Naruto clones as well.

What I'm using is not something you c*e, unfortunately because you don't have the ninjas for it, but there is a team I liked that you can do.But you didn't mention your summons so you may have to play around with it to find a summon that'll work.I use right now: Konan, Tobi or Kisame (starting to like Kisame better) and animal path pain. For summon with Tobi I use Dog of Hell, with Kisame I use white tiger. First round animal path mystery, second round either Kisame first if I can steal 20 chakra, otherwise Konan. As for the team without Konan and Animal Path, I used Hinata, Sasuke, and Kisame. Worked pretty well with Dog of Hell summon.Another one that worked for me was 3* Kimimaro, Sasuke, and Kabuto with the chakra steal passive. C*so be a good control team for the new SA with Tayuya instead of Sasuke.

[Ninja Exam] For those who can't beat the 70 using Water main.

I did it using Hinata, Sasuke, and Kisame, both healing mystery and passive, healing tips, soul steal, and water style- shark bomb jutsu and hell dog summon. Might also work with Shiba summon, but the key was the excessive healing power.I've also done it once with Kabuto, Neji, and Guy.

What main are you? That can make a big difference. At first glance however, you need one or even two healers to debuff the control and poison and perhaps a cancel. I would regardless work on taking out Karin first, so he has no healing, and their main second, followed by Hinata, saving Tobi for last since he'll simply revive anyway.A good basic team would include either Gai or GNW Neji for the cancels, then perhaps Kabuto for healing? Depends a ton on what main you're running.

I would probably pick Seven Swords Zabuza as well, for that control on top of the double attack. Normal Zabuza's clone can be killed pretty easily and then you lose that second attack, plus his mystery only works on standard attacks.
