The crit and resist system are based on refinements. Someone with higher refinements than the person they're fighting will not get resisted or at least I've never seen it happen. Crits are a different story. And dumb luck would benefit free and paying players. Because right now, Paying is the only way to stay in the top. Once again though, top tier players and ninja are a side complaint. It's the price of ninjas that made me make this post. $250+ for a character is unacceptable. I don't see how you guys can try and justify that. 250 should be able to get you the ninja, about 10 lvl 4 mags, some refinement and maybe 20 mood scrolls. Instead, you get 1 ninja and are told to spend more to pump him up or wait 6 months to get him. when he's extremely outclassed now

Actually, from the replies I've been getting. I assume that I'm just in a bad bracket for not paying anymore. I'm in the middle of the p2w group, and not paying. People I could beat a week ago are now 3k-5k power ahead of me. It has went from skillful close matches, to getting steamrolled. I guess I'm just not accustomed to how people can jump in power within a few days. I'm used to people getting better at the game / reading your moves better vs just powering through someone after dropping a thousand or so in money.

What I meant by that was that it is already hard enough to beat a team full of p2w ninja simply because the abilities they come with are much better than a f2p players team. If they have any type of competence, you will have a 0% chance of beating them. IE. A shika team vs a full pain team. If you guys are in arena, there is honestly no chance of the shika team winning, if the person with a pain team knows how to play.That was the point of this post, I'm fine with f2p out playing people with high tier ninja. The problem is that the high tier ninja are becoming more and more "rare". If it takes a month or 2 to get 1 pain, how long do you think it will take to get 1 kage? The gap will continue to widen.

See, I'm not talking about beating p2w people that can't even beat a shika, ino, zabuza team. In other mmos, if someone out gears you, normally if you use hit-and-run tactics, sometimes you can come out on top. Heck, not even hit and run, sometimes you just outplay them. This game doesn't let that happen if the other player has at least 2 brain cells

I've never played those games. I've only recently heard of them from playing this game. If they really are more p2w than this is, then that's sad. I guess I'm just not into games with this model. I love the combos, gameplay, and customization. But the amount of money they want for simple characters is beyond insane.
