I wouldn't say obliged, but it's normal for the leader to get something regardless. I myself have passed up on it too. I'm not complaining about it, it's just a suggestion lol.Now that you pointed it out I can see how it would backfire. It would be sad if they did try to stack a group just for the rewards, honestly. Since I myself despise it, I overlooked the fact some people don't.At the end of the day, though, I just hope some changes come soon to this. Regardless of what it is.
