Yes, Kisame takes 9-tales chakra. I run a similar 9-tale team with Kisume one more space forward to rely on his health gain with chakra gain, and Suigestu instead of Tenten. It causes Kisume to attack twice without Haku's benefit, but it saves the clone.

If you are in the leading group, you could try Baki front top, Hinata (at least 2 stars required) front mid, sasuke (at least 3 stars required) back bottom, and main mid mid. For this formation I have used chase knock down cause high float and Super Shark Bomb. This works better as soon as you can replace Baki with Tobi because he is harder to kill.
