Your main character will always be one of the 'showcased' characters (basically Fire, Wind, Water, Lightning, Earth) but you're able to make up your 'team' out of all sorts of characters. But if you mean on 'do I get to be anyone else?' no, you'll be one of those 5 characters.

Actually it's 2PM~ Poland uses CEST like Belgium (meaning you share my time-zone). EST to CEST has a 6 hours difference meaning that at 8am EST the servers will open at 2pm your time.

A medal is considered an individual purchase, meaning it only applies for the character/server you purchased the medal on. Of course, this also means that if you were to buy a medal on the German servers, that it won't apply to the English servers. So you'll have to buy it once more if you want to use it on another server.

So far the English version will at the very least go up to the 4th great ninja war, and catch up with future content in the form of updates. On terms of 'characters joining you after they died story-wise', it seems a lot of 'story battles' include the participation of a guest character (an example being Kakashi during the early missions) but you can get certain characters permanently by completing missions and for others you'll just need to start collecting the necessary materials to unlock them in your roster.

To answer some questions:On terms of story Naruto Online follows a 'slightly' altered approach to the series, in the sense that the existence of an original character (you) for the series is included into the storyline. But to spoil all those changes would take away from the experience as a whole.On terms of how far the story will go: As of now I got confirmation that the English version should go up to the Fourth great ninja war. Of course it will also go beyond that as we get more updates and catch up to the Chinese version. However, rest assured that there will be plenty of content updates, and since interviews with the developers suggest that the game will go 'beyond' the end of the manga, it's likely we can still expect some surprises!
