What does the iniatiative in the purification function do? It says it increase the speed but how does it increase it? Getting to use its mystery first or what?

Same as normal refine initiative it increases your mystery speed. Purifaction is basicly a % increase ontop of your refines meaning highest refines = highest boost from purification
