The debuff itself stacks, the dmg dosnt. Which means you can technically put on 4x stacks of ignite on one target and logically the game should choose the highest dmg value of them.

This can be tested by trying to remove debuffs with someone that removes one layer for example and you will notice that only one layer of "ignite" gets removed.

Not true, the ignite debuff does not stack. To remove ignite, you need to remove 2 layers of debuffs even if it was only applied once.

I have been forced to remove up to 4 layers once to make it go away, which is why i think thats how it works.

It does snot stack, it's explicitly said not only in game but by admins in the forums.

Ingame it does say "The ignite debuff stacks" Tho, its a quite common thing to show when loading screens you know ;P

Show me a picture of where it says "the ignite debuff stacks" and I'll believe you, otherwise it doesn't stack.

I believe ignite doesnt stack. Ive never seen a greater ignite over power of poison. CMIIW

That's because it caps at 1.9k damage since it only stacks once, poisons stacks 4 times for a max of 4k damage.
