as a f2p player, interrupt and accu are important for me to deal with stronger players, if you cant beat them with power disable interupt them. i say ao works with any main, i use him all the time.

The problem with incorporating Gakido and Ao into the same team is that they'll be fighting for Knockdown Chases. Therefore, you may need a pet to create Knockdowns, as well as another character to created Knockdown, preferably off of a Low Float or a Repulse. A couple of mains fit this role, as do Kakashi and Hinata. If you can successfully incorporate Gakido and Ao into a team, it'll greatly benefit your Mystery breaking potential, as Ao can acu on both his Chase and Mystery. In additon, Gakido is an excellent cleanser, which can turn the tide in a battle if used against a heavy CC team. Ultimately, it's difficult to add, but can potentially be worth the effort.

But for Gakido, I was thinking about putting him with Earth Main.
Mystery from Earth starts a knockdown, right?
Knockdown to lowfloat from Gakido.
Lowfloat to High float from Tsunade.
High Float to Knock down with Earth's Lotus chase.
Knockdown to lowfloat from Gakido.

And then here is where it gets interesting. I can go for Kakashi who can:
chase lowfloat to knockdown.
Then I get a summon to knockdown -> high float
Kakashi chases high float to low float.
Win.

Total: 8 hits, paralysis, ignition, Gakido cleanses, so bye-bye ignition/poison teams against Earth, Tsunade for more debuffs and heals, and SHIELDS, SHIELDS, SHIELDS. YOU GET A SHIELD, YOU GET A SHIELD, YOU GET A SHIELD. EVERYONE GETS A SHIELD. EVEN GAKIDO IS TOSSING SHIELDS OUT.

Or, I can substitute Kakashi with Kakuzu.
I can get a summon to go:
Low float (Remember, we left off at Gakido's finishing knockdown -> lowfloat chase) -> Repulse (Hell Dog)
Kakuzu chases Repulse for a high float
Then, high float -> low float from Kakuzu
Then another Hell Dog summon to fini* off.
Total: 9 hits?, but only ignition. . . .
I also have the ability to debuff the enemy, I guess. . eh . . .

Or I can try to use Tobi, I guess?
Low float (We left off at Gakido's 2nd Knockdown -> Lowfloat) -> Knockdown with a Kyoshoku Deer summon.
Tobi goes for knocked down to low float. . .
If only I had Kirin. . . lel . . .
But then again, the only thing it has is ignition . .

I also have Suigetsu at 5-stars, purely from Survival trials. .
He can chase low float and cause repulse. . .
And then a pet can finish the repulse off with a combo .. .
Eh . . .

For Ao, I can't really find a way to incorporate him into a team . .
I tried combining him with fire and water main, but nothing "clicked", you know?

Now I'm thinking about Earth.
Earth can cause knockdown, AND can supply his own shield. He doesn't need Ao's shield.
Sidenote, that's the thing. If I use Ao, I want to make the use out of his shields. I want it to apply to everyone. Haha.
Anyways. .
Earth causes knockdown.
Ao chases knockdown for a repulse.
Earth's chases repulse and causes knockdown.
Tobi for knockdown to lowfloat.
low float to repulse (hell dog)
Kakuzu chases repulse to high float.
Kakuzu chases high float to low float.
Then hell dog finishes it off with low float to repulse.
This causes acupuncture and ignition. . .
Ao grants Tobi, himself, and his clones some shields.
I can try to get Earth to give Kakuzu a shield. . .
