Let's give the forum assistant some slack, but at the same time I do have to say that I find the response of the forum moderator rather surprising.
" At the moment there are no plans for merges. However, we will merge servers in the future. "
- The forum assistant mentioned several times in this thread that server merges are coming. If there are no plans for server merges, how can we be advised that they are coming :S ?
"On another note, we don't have to explain why are we creating more servers."
- I think it's clear to everyone why new servers are created. To give new players a chance to be at the top of the game and to make some more money ofcourse. The issue here though is people who spent a lot of time and money since their server came out, are now the ones on servers that are suffering, because new players are being directed to new servers instead of the servers that are already here.
Secondly, I have to say that it's a poor choice of words chosen to communicate to the community. It may come across as unnecessarily arrogant even.
"Saying servers are lacking of players and they are inactive/dead is not true".
- That is either * or you are trying to deflect the fact that the vast majority of servers are suffering from a lack of players. I think the key part of this discussion is perception. When is a server suffering ? Well, for the * gamers which every server's top groups consist of, once the participation in events starts to drop to a point where to fun is disappearing, that's a server suffering. On this forum you will find people reporting that the server doesn't have enough people signing up for Sage World, on other servers there are less and less groups participating in GNW, some servers suddenly can't kill the ninetails anymore. Many different issues really, but they all point towards the same issue: servers suffering and slowly getting to the point where they die.
Last, please note that many of us are aware that the US/EU naruto online devs and mods are doing a great job, pushing out content and listen to the community more than in other games. You set a high standard, so the community automatically expects you to live up to that standard in each way possible.
