actually the way the game matches ANYTHING would be great. i have 2 chars on 1 server and often i would need daily arena stuff done so I would queue up and wait like 4 minutes with no result so I hop on other char to fight against it, queue up on that one and it INSTANTLY matches. This has happened on multiple occasions to multiple people. But we will probably never be told how the game figures it out (if they could even manage to program something smart lol) because blah blah blah "No - Daiske"

When you're doing your convoy runs, someone else is doing plunder. The person who is plundering gets to choose the two people they want to target, which in this case is you. So if you find yourself fighting someone stronger, it's because they chose you specifically.

If this is recurrent, wait a little longer than normal to do your convoy because those plundering only get 2 chances to plunder, so a lot of them will be done within 10 minutes. Of course that doesn't eliminate late players or those that choose to plunder after convoy.

If you're matching for that long it's because there is no one else matching for the arena. That is why when you bring your alternate character after waiting for so long it matches instantly. It's just you and your alternate character in arena.

That is my fault, I misread some of what you said. No reason to be rude.

From what I know of the arena is that your rank contributes to who you get paired with. I couldn't get paired with my friend because I'm six paths sennin while she was a ninja student. If your rank is low/high the chances of being paired with someone opposite to you is low.

If your alternative character is close in rank to you, then you could just be unlucky and may need to refresh your arena matching from time to time.

I've been matched with ninja as 6 paths before and I've been matched against 6 paths while being a student. My current level compared to my alts level is not that big of a difference (because on my main i've lost a ton of points so others can get wins). Even when trying to arena against other people around the same level it can take a while. The game does what it wants, I doubt the people that are doing the coding even know how it works.

Hm. That is interesting. Since getting to six paths I rarely match with anyone under Kage. Perhaps you're right though about the arena being completely random.

I believe Niji explained it quite well how convoy/plunder works...
When you are low level or low power in your server, you tend to be an easy prey.. Noone wants to lose in convoy/plunder.. so people chose others they know they have a high chance of win... Ofc this doesn't work everytime. Since it won't let you close/refresh the plunder results, you are forced to choose whoever showup there, whether weak or strong..

I think plundering is luck based.. if there are too many people stronger than you in your server, have a high chance of losing... and since most of them are done in the first 15 min - you might have a hard time finding a match later for plunder.
But convoy, thats a different story. For this, keep in mind 2 things:
1) Start late.. by then many will be done and your chance to go without being attacked will increase a lot.
2) Try to get someone strong in your group as partner. That way people will be discouraged from attacking you.
