By the total number of items in my backpack or by the number of occupied slots, regardless of how many items I have? Is there a difference between 10 red magatamas add 1 purple one? Does the backpack take this as 2 objects or as 11? Reply

This should be based off the total number of occupied inventory slots, rather than the total number of items within those slots.

Is there any reason the cat quiz packs occupy a slot each? I have many of them, and it would be very useful if they would take up only three slots instead of how many I have in total.

I'm not sure any official reason has ever been given out for this, but it's probably purposeful since it has never been changed, despite being asked. Unfortunately, they are likely to stay that way, so I would recommend simply opening them.
