I haven't spend any points yet to wait for the last day before deciding to spend it.
On one day, the points doesn't add up on the next day.
So in short, some day's bonus points disappeared the next day when you start doing the next day's lighting of the lanterns.

So far I missed out on 2 days' bonus points it seemed. Especially today, since I started with 180 points and ended up with 230 points instead of 240 points. Between each opening of the interface, the point somehow got deducted....
