Need help: PvP (control strategy)

Okay, so I have seen this suggestion somewhere on the forum - using fire main with ino and shikamaru/zabuza to make a control team. While I find it useful in player vs ai, I can never get it to work in pvp against higher level in arena. Especially against a Kimimaru match-up. Furthermore, when Ino bounces her chaos from main sleep, the target character can be immune to this attack and it will never work. When this fails the whole team is eliminated very quickly. Is there a way to overcome this and make these characters work? Because when facing stronger opponents with better ninjas control seems to be a strategy to resort to and I am asking for suggestions to make it work. Is there anything that can be done?
