Sometimes, when I select auto mode for nine tails, it either doesn't even go for the first round or goes one round and deselects it. What can I do to make sure it stays selected to participate in both rounds?

Hello, the auto mode will stop if it senses any input from you in the game, or if it gets blocked, for example, by the barrier. I would suggest trying to make sure you leave some space before the barrier, so you do not immediately hit it, and to watch the beginning of the event, to ensure that the auto starts correctly. If you have to click on the game at all, I would suggest ensuring that the auto battle starts again.
