You can only get runes from summoning and summoning shop. What I would suggest to most new level 50 player is to save your summoning scroll, farm for all the summons and then use your scrolls. This is because if you pull a summon you already have, it will be converted to summoning points which can be used to purchase stuffs in the summoning shop.
