Look at your initiatives. It's not all about refinements.

Look what i said, Mine is higher than his, so he shouldn't be going first.

Was this in survival, gear does not work the same there.

It was a 1v1 fight, he challenged me to a duel.

Sometimes lag happens, if your main did his standard attack before his afterwards then this was the case here.

Also i notice sometimes game tries to speed up fights by playing animations at same time, 2-3 attacks at same time, i had my Kibas pet attack before my main healed, but i am sure on server they did it in right order, just them rushing animations messed it up.

How is it that you initiative is lvl 5 when you just said that your refinement is lvl 1? What initiative are you pertaining to? Your internet connection c*so be a factor in here since when you are delayed. He mightve already used his mystery first.

Sorry i said all my refinement level is +1 all of his so mine are lvl 5 while his are lvl 4. Sorry for the confusion.

We both have the earth buff so we buff our team out and don't do any attacks. Could be internet, but I have very good internet, I pressed my key *on pretty fast so I don't know really lol. I could understand if he had the same refinement level as me as that could be a guess, but I am still lost.

Hmm. If you have higher initiative than him and you both are at move 1 then maybe its a lag issue. Try to do it again and see.

First, instead of looking at just your refinements (because his battle armor could be better), find out your actual initiative from the Character window. Second, when you shield your team, who shields first? That is the indicator of who has the higher initiative. If you do certainly have higher initiative AND shield first, but your mystery goes after his, then we can guess that it is due to lag/internet connection, or some other delay in which your Mystery was too late.

Mine is 767, My battle armor is rank 4 and his is rank 3 I believe, I will check with him later and see if it's just lag or delay in the end.

Does moods effect it? he did -attck for +ninjutsu, so he had initiative 820 over mine with 767.

what is that initiative? it is effect with who attacking first??

Yes, you can see your character stats by going to Character>Details.

It should not, the things that affect initiative are refinements and battle armor rank from my knowledge. Did he increase his battle armor rank? Also, did you check and make sure that your refinements are certainly higher than his?

Internet also has a role on the speed of your moves.

I have 3 lvl 5 refinements while he has all 5 lvl refinements, that could be the reason possibly. His battle rank not sure, it looked like it was rank 3 from what I can tell.

Yup, that would mean he has higher refinements, which is why he has more initiative.
