This is my cosplay for the event, which is very close to the deadline. It's no the complete version since I don't have all the parts I need (headband, vest, kunai, etc.) but I plan to post the full costume when I recieve the rest of the pieces. Also, this is my own character that I made up, so he has the same name as my in-game character and doesn't have a place in Naruto, just fan made. Here it is.




Backstory: One day, a boy was found on the side of a river near a village that was destroyed by a unknown force. When a group of travelers found him, he had no memory, and when they asked for his name, all that could come to his mind was 'Ky'. They accepted his name and brought him to another village, where he grew up in with an adoptive family. Ky was an oddity, most of the time he was quiet, so he didn't have a lot of friends and had trouble making words. Ky enjoyed playing games the most, and had a wide imagination, as he created works that he liked to do, some were happy, some were interesting, and some were.... dark. As Ky grew up with few friends, he had an impulse to stay alone, scared that he might do something wrong. He usually stayed in his room, thinking to himself and did very little. Although, the people saw him as a kind person, as he helped others around the village. One day, he heard of how powerful ninjas were, and how they could complete difficult feats. Ky heard of ninjas before, and thought of them as just people who snuck around play pranks or other such things. When heard of their true power, ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu, they peaked his interests much more. And soon he wanted to be one. Ky was not on exercise or training as many ninjas have done before, so he went to work right away, learning different fighting moves and trying to build his own body up. Sometimes, he didn't have much time to do these things, so went on small breaks before recommiting to it. However, he was on the path of a ninja sooner than he expected. On a cold night, Ky woke from sleep to the sound of screams in the village. He ran out to find bandits slaughtering everyone he knew and didn't know, making something in him snap. Ky picked up the sword of a dead swordsman and charged at the brutes, only to be beaten down. Ky could not stand them, especially when they saw smiling and laughing in joy of their work, and anger overcame him. Ky pushed his body to the limit, and killed bandits left and right. Soon, the bandits became afriad of him as Ky used gruesome methods to kill them. The ruins of his home turned red with blood and he chased one last bandit out of town. Ky couldn't keep up with his last target, as the fight left him exhausted. He walked the road far, with cuts and bruises on him, until he found a larger village than the one he left, the village hidden in the leaves. Ky came to the gate and collapsed, having the shinobi at the gate take him to the hospital. Afterwords, Ky found out that the village trained shinobi, and asked if it was possible for him to become one. He was given mixed answers, and tried anyways, going to a school where he learned the basics. Ky learned fast and started doing ninjutsu, happy to be accepted as one. Ky learned of Konoha's recent troubles, and heard of a hero that helped protect and save the village many times. Interested, Ky met the hero, who happened to be
Naruto. Naruto told Ky of his past and introduced him to all of his friends, and later told Ky that they could be friends, despite Ky's awkward silence, and Ky accepted that he would be friends with Naruto for his kindness, that and he was amazed by Sakura's ability to knock Naruto a far distance. Later, Ky regained his memories from before, learning about certain tasks, but Naruto convinced him with life lessons to strive for a better future, so Ky decided to leave his original memories buried, and ignored the tasks that were placed on him. With that, Naruto inspired Ky, more than ever to become a shinobi, and follow Naruto's idea of peace for the world. That, and he learned that ramen is delicious.

That is the story of Ky....
