I took a look at this event and the breakthrough pill was not exchanged for a bond scroll. It was traded for a variety of things. According a quick cost *ysis between the previous version of the event and the new version, the new version actually has a slightly better value than the old version, by a little more than 200 coupons. The 500 refine tier's direct tradeout was not the bond scroll, but the rare treasure tool essence orb, which is worth roughly one third the value of the breakthrough pill. The reason this much lower value item was substituted in for the breakthrough pill is because the event as a whole (on the other tiers) were improved. The advanced refines were changed to new refine optional packs, which have a higher value, the purification runes were changed to chimes, and the magatama was changed to a rainbow magatama. For the breakthrough pill to stay in place, it would have drastically changed the overall value of the rebate, which I assume the devs did not want.

I can suggest that the devs simply put the pill back in place, but considering that the rebate value is almost exactly the same, this seems very calculated to me, and it is highly likely that they will not do this. Considering the vast majority of these changes are fairly beneficial other than the breakthrough pill's loss, changing this rebate back to it's old form would not benefit the player base. Obviously losing the breakthrough pill is bad, but I'm not sure how players would prefer to proceed in this instance.

I can submit a suggestion for a breakthrough pill to be placed in another event monthly (weekly, as you suggested, is a bit of a stretch, as these pills are powerful and useful, and refine rebate was a monthly event, not a weekly event). Let me know what you'd like to see.

Also, this change affected UK and HK as well.

This is apparently made for those p2w players, who already used all necessary advanced refine runes and BT pills, thus maxed that part of equipment, and now they need Epic runes for further progressing.

Also, all items in this rebate are possible to gain during week in different places, while BT pills (and fragments) are not.

All this is most likely because of some p2w plaers who complained about this, same as when they nerfed Zetsu. ("Money makes the world turn", I guess) :)

I am not asking for the breakthrough pills or the fragments to be put back into the refine rebate. I understand the need to update that event. I'm simply asking that we be able to have (an)other source(s) to redeem them. We can add them to the training grounds packs as options with the bond scrolls there or we can add them to the grocery. They can be added as another shop items in events like Colored Banner Gift or Konoha Outlets.

As I mentioned, the overall value of the refine rebate increased. New refine optional packs give more advanced refines back than the previous rebate gave. This update gives greater flexibility to both free players and paying players. It's something many players have been asking for for quite a while. The argument that "used all necessary advanced refine runes and BT pills" makes little sense since this update allows players to choose between advanced and epic refines. Also, any player that does not need breakthrough pills certainly does not need purple treasure tool orbs.

Understood, OK. I will submit your request that they be added back in to the monthly cycle in some form for players to be able to obtain. Sorry again for this update taking them away from the playerbase. Hopefully we can get them added back in to one of the more available monthly or bi-monthly cycles.
