If we think about it, lvl7 to lvl8 gives us 100 extra wish credits during rebate week. So in total lvl7-lvl10 vs lvl8-lvl10 you would save 100 advance refines. But during the time period that you are lvl7 until you level up your stats are low compared to lvl8. And in my case, as for you maybe as as for most free players, it would take a lot of time depending on our goals. Not all tho, dependsing on how we manage sun srolls, I think it would take 3-5months to upgrade lvl7-lvl10, same approximte time for lvl8-lvl10. Ofc this is again based on random generation (we all get it I know :3 hehe )

For Pos2 I think better to do lvl7 all then hop to lvl10. Since your P2 needs not to be as competitive as your P1. Just my opinion tho.

I've just calculated that the total stat base bonus that you get upgrading all pieces of equipment from Lv 7 to Lv 8 is equal to +325 in all the stats.
Meanwhile the total stat base bonus that get upgrading a single piece of equipment from Lv7 to Lv 10 is equal to +425 in all the stats.
The thing is the purification is not taken in consideration in that math, so I can only guess the actual stat bonus that you'd get leveling all pieces from Lv 7 to Lv 8 should be higher than upgrading just one piece of equipment.

In theory, going piece by piece from Lv 7 to Lv 10 should be better in the long run since you're saving refinements, I guess.
Therefore.... I feel like that's the good way to go? But then again why nobody else has done it that way? Every player I checked has gone full Lv 8.

Yes you are right, Depends on purification as well. So maybe give it a bit of 70% for just assumption. The power stats on all 5 equipments will jump a bit higher.

Acutally, in my experience before, even high spender in our previous server did so. I saw his pos2 ninjas at lvl7 then went to lvl10. Altho, ofc we cannot simply compare that since he has many access to power-items out of his perks.

But then again, I always think for the long run. And seems to me, lvl7-lvl10 is the go for - for your Pos2 since again it needs not to be as competitive as pos1 hehe. Again, my cents only. We have a different style and this one is really very subjective, in all honesty. We need to hear other's opinion I guess haha
