Your chances of success increases in battle when you stack your position 1 ninja (his personal power is higher than the other positions). This 1 ninja should be able to win in a 1v1 fight (or 1v4 if your supports get killed first). Currently naruto is the best ninja to put as pos 1, but there are other solid options. You can pick one and then try getting good supports for him.
