I've told people this and I've tested it thoroughly.

Teams in survival and especially in practice breakthrough are boosted in some kind of way. One day I'll make a video about it but until then this is what I found.

I went vs a guild mate level 72 (I was 75) in practice breakthrough, his team went first and did enough dmg to kill my Tsuande 2nd turn. His team was so strong and so fast it was insane considering I was about 5kBP higher. I dueled his SAME exact team outside of Survival and I destroyed him with zero issues.

Survival teams but more so practice breakthrough have some kind of buff, I'm certain of it.

You are correct. Eventhough you have better refines than them. When it comes to survival trial and breakthrough, enemy has boosted stats and it depends on what stage in the survival they are posted. :)
