I am starting up the game again but now i am really far behind in my original server, is it worth it to just stay on it and try to grind my way back or start on a new server?
if i should stay on my original one how should i go about getting my power back up.

Depending on how long you stop playing and how old the server is, you can still play. However, majority of the time, you have to start on a new server if you want to the play competitively unless you're a whale.
