Each time you upgrade your R&D Skill Mastery from the Group Skills Interface, it will increase your capacity to generate chips. Once you upgrade the R&D, like what Yujin said above, you just have to wait for some time and it will produce chips for you to use in activating R&D Mastery Skills. Thank you.

You c*so spend group points to get exp/chips faster, but i wouldn't do it unless you have everything else in group maxed already.
