I'd like to know the answer to this as well. I'd also like to suggest that players who are able to get full points on all three trainings should automatically get the breakthrough fragments and potions (from 1st place).

for example whoever finish at round 6 will be at a higher ranking than the ones finished at round 7 or longer.

It's based on who finishes it first. There's one player who is a f2p I know who finishes first before the whales and the whales are behind the first player.
