Sage Kabuto is kind of hard to build around right now. He can have potential but it's hard to always capitalize on. Here's a link to another thread with some team ideas: https://forum-narutoen.oasgames.com/page/show-post-42046-1.html. I'll share some other ideas too.

Samehada Kisame works nicely w/ Kabuto because they both benefit from units dying, and Kisame generates sharks with his mystery that can help with that. The main idea in all of these teams is having a bunch of sharks/clay spiders/slugs/clones on the field that can absorb damage and then die, boosting Kabuto.

I don't think lightning main is the best for Sage Kabuto teams because he doesn't specifically buff Kabuto or Kisame but if you want to keep using him, here is an option.

(Use Ninja Dog Shiba as the chase summon too if you don't have Dog of Hell).

One problem w/ Kabuto/Kisame teams is lack of immunity to debuffs, so Summer Sakura is there to help clear those. Lightning main is just support, with the across the field 25% attack increase and the clones as fodder for Kabuto. I think this is your best option (barring hard to get ninjas like Edo Hashirama, the linked thread gives more examples with those tier of ninjas) because 1) if you get Sakura to chase from Kabuto's mystery, she will cause immobile if the targeted unit is not immune, and 2) Sakura heals while also putting down her Katsuyu slugs as fodder. She's also kind of hard to take out, she has a dodge and will revive if she's killed when a slug is still on the field. Other support/healer ninjas can keep debuffs off though, Gakido, Kurenai, and Kakashi [Beheading Sword] can fill Sakura's spot if you don't have her, just adjust the chase and summon. If you have their breakthroughs, even better.

(Use Kyushoku Deer if you don't have Kirin).

Here's a similar option with Water main, similar concept but Water's passives will strengthen Kabuto and Kisame since they are water units. You could also use Summer Sakura here like above, but this would mess up the passive's distribution of the buff since all 4 units would be water type, and only 3 get the buff, meaning sometimes Kabuto wouldn't get it. So, to make sure he and Kisame always have the 40% attack and ninjutsu increase, Kurenai can take her spot.

(Use Illusion Crow if you don't have Eight Span Bird).

Here's another Water Main team, this time switching out Kisame for Edo Deidara. Similar to Kisame, Deidara can put down stuff on the field (his spiders). Also, since he's an earth unit, you c*e Summer Sakura again without having to worry about the 3 unit water buff.

Honestly though, if you have Kushina and Summer Ino, it might be better to build a team with them, something like this:

(If you don't have Giant Katsuyu, it's better to use White Snake than Small Katsuyu, the combo off Kashina's mystery is higher).

It's best if you have Chuunin Shikamaru's breakthroughs (at least on his Hidden Jutsu Strength passive). You could also run this team with Earth main. Don't know if you have Kushina's breakthroughs, but either way, this can be pretty powerful.
