Summon Cultivation menu, pick say Illusion Crow, then use a contracting scroll where it tells you, and you can summon it.

how do you get contracting scrolls? I've only seen them being sold for ingots. Is there any f2p way to get some?

Wait for oasis to implement them into events, that's the f2p way. Though they usually have some 800 reward in konoha great tree.
