Questions about edo release Madara

I am a new owner of edo madara Release and am enjoying using him immensely but have some questions still not totally clear on certain aspects of his talents

Life -Body ,,,During explosive mode he is healed 10 percent of the damage during Ninjutsu attacks such as his Standard and chases ..so does that mean the more ninjutsu mood i have the more he heals or does it mean mooding Attack and causing more damage since its a sword attack to do more damage would heal more ...Because it says Ninjutsu damage But the talent is Both Taijutsu and Ninjutsu its kinda hard to decide which path to take

Also while not expecting an answer for the one But if madara using a sword in his mystery attack and standard why isn't he classed as a sword user or is there so weird define unknown to the masses on who and why sword users are classed that way
