Hmmm .. I wonder why are you doing Ultimate mode when you can do the Normal or Elite one .. With your level and power i assume, the opponent's setup vs. you is currently not balanced as they will have more power than you (depending on the class of the opponent) .. If your concern is the prizes or rewards for accomplishing all then you shouldn't be worried about that, i believe that the rewards from each mode is random and not focused on the the mode picked by the player ..

Now for your question, Edo Hiruzen, he rely on buffs to produce heavy damage .. Use ninjas that can possibly buff him and increase his Ninjutsu and Attack .. Ninjas like Iruka, Asuma WB, Barrier Ninjas, Main Character's Element Enhancement Passive and so on and so forth .. If its possible, do what Jiburiru said and provide your ninjas for the community to help you build a team within your reach ..

Main character's elemental buffs doesn't stack with Edo Hiruzen's buff, though.

he buffs from main elemental but his passive doesnt stack as in main 40% + his 40% to buff main as far as i understand it..
