Can someone give me a detailed explanation of when poison tai gets applied (if it gets applied multiple times during combos and if it stacks EVERYTIME u hit someone with a tai attack) and if getting a stack of poison on you isn't guaranteed, what stat determines it? Every detail about poison tai will be helpful and preferably with sources.
Hi!
First of all, the poison Tai does have a maximum single scaling damage of 1999 per taijutsu hit, depending on the amount of health of your ninja, and it can stack up to four times max. Yes, it does scale with combos and here's the reference of it:
That was after Minato did combo him and that caused the following combos :
Minato - Madara - Minato - Madara and had on water main her ninjutsu combo trigger chase and a summon which does not trigger any additional combos ( So, a 4 x 1999).
Also, you will always receive a stack of poison as long as it does not healed, cleansed and your ninja suffers constantly taijutsu damage. There is nothing that can stop the poison debuff pretty much, it'll always be there.
Now the question, is poison affected by ninjutsu and resistance?
Resistance can basically lower the poison scaling damage done to you, which means if you got enough resistance, less poison damage will be dealt to you when the scaling limit will be reached. Example :
I've got here Tsunade on the resistance tile in my tactics and the damage is 1695.
I got her here on the life and the damage is 1883, which proves pretty much that poison receiving damage really depends on Resistance. Many people have asked before, but clones are receiving much less poison scales than ninjas. The answer to that is, that poison ba
She receives 1257 ba
I did not put back my life magatamas and the opponent had 30649 ninjutsu, which resulted to deal full poison damage as you can see.
The final conclusion is, that poison does depend on Health, Resistance of the ninja that receives the poison and on ninjutsu of the water main.
Sakura slug poison damage receiving for example with the low ninjutsu and:
And here it's with the high ninjutsu.
Hope that helps!
If the poison doesn't get renewed expires after 3 rounds.
Btw, seems to me right to add that the way poison tai works since 5.0 onwards is different than how if worked before 5.0, so if people is looking for old references to it they may go tru misunderstanding.
Before 5.0 poison tai stacks weren't increased by the same combo chase, so, in the case angelx showed you about madara and jonin minato you used to actually get 1 stack only by the whole combo chase, king of hell eventually included. Only different hits at that time added stacks, but, on the other hand, differently from now, at that time mystery skills added poison also if the skill was dodged, while now this doesn't happen anymore.
I hope i cleared some eventual misunderstanding that people would incur in.
