Yes, or you could use 4 golden ropes. Can't go wrong with either.

Heyo,

Gourd is being used for the main, since it has the control stat and our mains are mostly supports. You can either use four ropes or three ropes and one gourd.
I myself am using the gourd for my main, both of the options are fine

Nope, there is no need to do so, after around 30 forges it gives you an S tool
