i have been playing the fighting matsuri event for months now and am wondering why if the event is supposed to be cross server why i keep running into my group mates 3 out of every 5 times i fight its starting to piss me and my group mates off and makes no sense if the event is meant to connect multiple servers to make the fights more random.

Hi,

The event is indeed cross server and meeting group mates or those from your server is likely due to the limited amount of people queuing at that particular time and simply getting unlucky.

I personally recommend checking within your group who is currently completing Matsuri if you do not wish to risk facing them.
