I believe the accepted numbers are an avg of 6.5 pts per die. So figure out how many totals pts you need for what you want to get, then divide that number by 6.5 to get the avg number of rolls you would need to do to reach that, and then multiply that result by 20 as the cost per die.
In summary the formula is (total pts you need)*20/6.5
