Ignoring people (mainly whales) getting kakuzu skillbooks, you should be fine having 5k as long as you have jonin minato or 6p naruto.

5k madara is a great ninja overall to have. He goes well with lineups that don't require buffs and rely heavily on control. He c*so go great with either edo minato, edo hashirama, or jonin minato with susanoo kakashi. He can counter root, shields, barriers; basically he is the nightmare of full damage guns blazing teams.

I agree that 5k M is needed, he poise as barrier ninja evens the playing ground against the likes of Ohnoki 3rd Tsuchikage

On a normie basis I'd pick 5k M over 3rd most of the time.
