[ Lineup ] Ultimate Combo Guide - Midnight Blade

Well hello there! And welcome to the ultimate combo build for Midnight Blade!

About me: I've been a free player, starting about a month ago, currently 15 in Ranked, 7 in Midnight Blade power, and 23 in overall power on my server, so I finally decided to make a guide to one of my favourite Midnight Blade combo builds that I've been using to get through Arena and Ranked against players with much better character lists. Both of these are letting me take on people 1-3 levels and 1,000-2,000 power higher than I am without much difficulty - which is saying something, considering I'm currently level 63 and my server is packed with players using Jonin medals and full Pain lineups.

The main reason this combo works so well is due to the reward character for August: Kiba - Great Ninja War. Him providing guaranteed knockdown and 2 tanky bodies allow you to absorb damage and attack turn after turn; and on top of that, a really fast initiative lets him combo off before just about any other character can move. Also, being able to ignore Hinata's shields on Turn 1, pressuring her with a ton of damage, is something that most Midnight Blade lineups have a major difficulty with. So instead of having to basically lose a turn waiting for her shield to expire, you can get her below half health, deal moderate damage to the rest of the enemy team, and apply multiple ignite effects across the rest of the characters to prevent their healing.

So without further ado, here's the lineup!

Kiba - Great Ninja War > Midnight Blade > Karin > Sasuke (3 star)




Create Knockdown (Kiba) > High Float (Karin) > Low Float (Sasuke) > Repulse (Sasuke) > Knockdown (Midnight) > hit 3 enemies (Kiba) > hit 2 enemies (Summon) > Poison 2 enemies (Karin) > Ignite 2 enemies (Sasuke).

This build was the original idea I had, as I'd just finished upgrading Karin to 4 stars and wanted to find a way to use her. Starting point was Kiba, since he guarantees knockdown and hits twice, so it's easy enough to get to a 10-hit combo. When on an equal player level and power level with another player, the full combo does roughly 80% damage to any normal character, or at least 50% to one with high defense (Hinata, Kimimaro, etc). Plus, between the ignite and the poison damage, there's typically anywhere from another 10-20% damage taken at the start of the next round, depending on if you use Karin's Great Perfume Spray and have it hit the character affected by the combo.

As for the risk of the combo being broken by Reflect: Make sure to use Karin's Great Perfume Spray first. That way, Reflect will trigger on the poison rather than the paralysis, so your combo will go to completion. The spray is also incredibly useful to get weaker clones out of the way of the character you want to combo on, and it stacks with the second set of poison damage from Karin's Combo Chase, so you'll almost always want to use that instead of Sasuke's Kirin trigger on the first turn, unless the enemy team has a Barrier ability already cued (Gaara, Sasuke, Haku, etc).

This build is also great even if Midnight Blade gets targeted down, since Kiba > Karin > Sasuke is still a 10-hit combo, so they all get their additional chase abilities, and will typically hit for 50% of a regular character's health.

TL;DR - Really long combo with great damage that can consistently target down one character within the first 2 rounds, and apply damage over time to other members of the team.
