Oasis have a history of doing accidental, unnoticed and unfair things to the players. People, first try to understand the type of the game developers we have. Try to understand this season, it's Naruto's birthday week. I know many of you people started to play this game cause of the anime. They said this is the only official and authorized game. I don't think there's anyone who's playing this at least not watching a single episode of Naruto. So as I said earlier, Naruto 's birthday is on 10th of October I think. He's the protagonist, so obviously there should be an interesting change in the game. They gave sakura cloak and sasuke suit for almost free and gave event exclusive ninjas for a significant price. A few hours ago they changed naruto's b'day event and while ago they changed sakura's gift. Some people complained about this whole madara incident. They saw the difference between 10K and 20K but forgot the all extreme valuable resources received from fukrokumaru's event. Ton of power up equipments and 80 frags of kisame samehada fusion and hokage tsunade. Now 5k madara costs more than 20 K coupons, only ninja frags , no other gifts. Are you all happy now? I know oasis won't give us a happy end. Soon they'll delete this thread as well. So my message to the community is, play the game in an entertaining way with others and stop being selfish. Otherwise keep your mouth shut. Thank you!
what do you think of people work hard to get madara5 and now it just 10k coupon, what is the point of trying, but otherwise i agree with you, people should stop asking about compensation, I just want player should been treated with fairness,
10k for frags only vs 20 for frags + a lot of stuff.

They not only got just madara frags, for a 20 k, they received at least 45k. Also you'd receive another event exclusive ninja.that was kisame hoshigaki shark fusion 80 frags and hokage tsunade frags.
I hope you're aware of the lucky star and fukrokumaru's deals. Consider about the resources that you can get from both of those above mentioned events. Now think about sakura's gift ,you spend more than 20 k and you get only Madara, ONLY MADARA

I see, well then I complete agree with you now
Im guessing it wasnt stated clearly but from what I remember once an event has been activated it cant be removed or functions be changed. They have clearly stated that they have the ability to change numbers and that's about it. You could be talking about changes to the actually items which would be a first instance since ninja pouch has been removed and replaced by purification.
Someone messed up. I get it. And I know there are a ton of people that are going to complain no matter what and most of their complaints are going to be centered around some idea where they try to benefit themselves even more.... but I don't think THIS is the best time to let Oasis slide by somehow blaming the community for their mistakes.
Players being selfish/self-centered isn't what got us to this particular point - even if there is an argument that most of their arguments aren't helping now. And I just don't, personally, think the stance that you're trying to take is actually being constructive either.
We all play the game differently and that actually puts Oasis in a tough spot here. There's not going to be any good solution that makes everyone happy.
Some people would be happy if they got anything for free as some sorta compensation and will feel like they profited from it.
Others will feel robbed because their early "investment" in something somehow feels lessened if someone else got it cheaper.
My stance is that I tend to play games fairly competitively and in a game like this you try to "game the game."
Something like 5k Madara being a good deal doesn't mean anything to me because that happens in a game like this. If you get something early then you often overpay - you should accept that. Sometimes there are good deals and the way you get ahead is by maximising your resources. And it's always a bit of a gamble using a lot of resources on something because there may be a real cost in the next event offering better value had you waited. Whatever. We all play on that same playing field, ya know? It's equal. Now... if some players were able to pay less in these events for 5k Madara than others were and the playing field wasn't even... well, that WOULD be messed up.
Again, if SOME people were given an opportunity to capitalize on an event where others weren't then that is kinda messed up. Again, I'm fairly competitive. If I'm running a race then I don't want to see someone else get a 10 yard head start on accident and the "fix" for me wouldn't be to decide that everyone can now have a 10 yard head start as 'compensation' if that same opponent now ends up with a 20 yard head start - it just doesn't work and ends up ruining the race.
Also, let's be clear that this game is virtual product. It's not like Oasis produces luxury cars that were mispriced and will lose a bunch of money. Does it really even matter if everyone had a bunch of Sailor Sakura frags or whatever?
My West Coast server never got access and I'm not that worried about it, personally, since it didn't upset any balance with the people I'm mostly competing with. But if I was on a server where some got the opportunity to take advantage of the deal and I did not then I'd be very irate right now. Again, I'd feel like some of my opponents were given a head start and the race I was trying to run against them was ruined by it. And I don't think any of that frustration would stem from a self-centered worldview.
100% agree with you Malachorn, Oasis biggest mistake was actually doing something. Now since they have changed things it leaves way too many dissatisfied. Anyone asking for compensation should really stop cause its not going to help you and those that didnt take advantage but the ones who already have.

I'm actually curious what the logic was behind their decision.
Again, it's virtual product so it's not like "giving away" most things even actually costs them money. I actually think the event woulda encouraged slightly more spending and made them more money... even if it was a mistake.
Unless they thought these deals woulda helped create an unhealthy game environment somehow and hurt the game in that way (which I REALLY don't think was the motive behind their actions).... then I'm just failing to see how this solution could have even been seen as a good idea.
Mistakes happen and the programmer that might be fired would actually have a lot less questions from me than the executive-type that decided it was a good idea to 'fix' the mistake like this, tbh.
Granted, I hope I've put a lot less thought into this than they have and may just not know any better.
My guess its just a bad reaction from the community that caused this. Instead of praise for the rain we get people complaining that they have water when they already had a lake.
Overall I don't think this is not a programmers fault either since that would contradict statements oasis authorities have made.
Honestly speaking about game environment even if they gave everyone every ninja for free it wouldn't create an unhealthy environment. Only by introducing something new will it cause effects. All of these ninjas already exist so lowering the level of entry is not going to change anything it just speeds up me

Lost revenue is lost revenue, regardless of how much it costs to create the product. Some people might have been thinking of buying those packs in the sage treasure where they cost 3k, but now they wont buy them because they got them for free. Or spending 20K on Madara, but now they got him for only 10k.
Imagine you're selling a digital only computer game that costs say $25 to download it. You put it on sale for 10% off, but you f'ed up and actually put it on sale for 100% off by mistake. Do you lose money on the download even though it doesn't cost you anything to actually send it? Do you not have the right to correct that mistake? A player might be unhappy that their friend got the game for free and he doesn't, but does that mean you are obligated to give him a free copy of the game too?
While I agree that the cheaper event will encourage more spending, if they f'ed up, they f'ed up.
In terms of player balance, they only fair option is to reset the events to how they were this morning, but I doubt they will do it.
