We did informed our players about it. I understand it is frustrating but we made this change (and it was literally 2 or 3 days after we opened first server) because players suggested this change. They wanted to know when will the event end so we changed the deadline of the event to players time zone/local time.

In other words, deadline is "specific" for every player. Depends on where do you live.
