madara 5kage has appeared in trial ninjas before (as a bug) along with edo hanzo and samehada fuguki.

since there's also been recent posts asking about edo hanzo and fuguki's appearance in trial ninjas, i don't think it's a far cry to say madara 5kage was the trial ninja.

this is all just speculation i really have no idea if that's really the case here ofc
