some of the events i think require servers to be open for more than a certain number of months or weeks. like this event needs servers to be 14 days old before they can see the event:

your server seems to have opened very recently, maybe that's why?

Correct.

Newer servers have a time restriction on certain events.

Generally can range from 7-14 days. However afterwards, all events will be available.
