Azure watched the dancing couples in awe and said to her friends, “do you want to dance? Please please please!”

“I’m up for it,” said Crimson.

“Me too,” said Midnight.

“Me as well,” said Breeze, “it looks like lots of fun.”

“And you, Scarlet?” said Azure to her best friend.

Scarlet rolled his eyes at her, “I don’t like dancing. You know that.”

“Don’t be such a killjoy,” said Azure and tried to pulled him up.

“Just leave him be. Scarlet never dances,” said Crimson.

Azure pouted and let go of Scarlet’s arm, “if you get bored, come and join us.”

“Yeah yeah.”

Azure, Midnight, Breeze and Crimson paired up and went to dance.

Scarlet palmed his cheeks and stared at the bonfire. “A bonfire party is so boring when you have to sit alone,” he said to himself, “dancing is even more boring.”

An idea suddenly came to him and his face lit up. He went home quickly and then returned with a cart full of fireworks. His clan was one of the best makers of fireworks, and he always had plenty at home.

“I will make this boring festival more fun,” he said as he shot up a bunch of fireworks.

Everyone at the festival happily stopped to watch the firework show.

The last three firework rockets were so big, Scarlet had never seen something like them before. He grinned to himself thinking of how surprised everyone would be when they see them.

The three last fireworks filled the sky. Hot sparks rained down and burned everywhere they fell. Within five minutes, huge flames filled the party location.

“No, no! Why did this happen?” Scarlet looked around him desperately not knowing what to do. He saw Azure *ing water from her mouth in an attempt to stop the flame. Several ninja who used the water style did the same.

An hour later the fire was finally down. But the grass and the trees around the area were already charred black.

“Scarlet, that was your doing. Correct?” said Tsunade sternly.

“I didn’t mean it,” said Scarlet, “I only wanted to make the party more fun.”

Tsunade sighed and said, “what’s done is done. Luckily no one was injured. But you displayed a careless and thoughtless behaviour unfit of a ninja. That’s why you will be prohibited from joining the bonfire for the next five years.”

Scarlet lowered his head in embarrassment. From that day on, he never dared do anything without thinking twice about the consequences.

-One year later-

It was the bonfire festival again but Scarlet was not allowed to go. He was lying on the floor lazily feeling bored when somebody knocked on the door.

Scarlet opened and was surprised to see four of his friends.

“Why are you here?” he asked.

“Make way,” said Breeze as she walked in with a bag. Azure, Midnight and Crimson all came in, each one of them carrying something.

“What are you carrying?” asked Scarlet.

“Food, snacks, drinks, games, and more,” said Crimson.

“But the festival-“

“The festival is not fun with one of us missing,” said Azure.

“We agreed to come over and have a party here,” added Midnight.

“You guys,” Scarlet teared up a little. That evening was one of the best bonfire festivals in his life.
