I understand the reason behind cross-server events, as it is a great new challange for experienced players, and a probably good solution for half-abandoned servers, where players would not have anyone at all to fight otherwise.
But still I just can't shake the feeling that it is great for like... maybe 5% of the players - I'd say for the die-hard fans of the game, while it is doable for another 15%, and 80% of the users are more or less stripped off the weekly events almost entirely. I am not sure if it is correct way of doing things, if the game aims itself for a small group of people. I mean, what's the point of leveling up and upgrading my character, if whenever I do Arena/Matsuri/DB it becomes a random chop of insanly unmatched players? I am always staying in top 5 of my server, so I think I am doing quite ok, but in DB I meet lvl 100 guys with 120k BP, in Arena 95% of teams are made exclusively of Minato, Hashirama, Ay, and such, Matsuri serves guys at lvl 80+ with 60-70k BP. My only question is: what is the point of such game?
And don't get me wrong - I'm loving the game and all, but that's even more reason to hope it get more competetive rather than 95% of the stuff being slaughter...
I played the game once in the past on server 001 - two years ago, I remember that it put the server socjety together when we could do Sage World Battlefield, and then passionately discuss it on world chat afer it was done. It was great to tease and joke with opponents you met in Arena. Right now most events seem like a insanly random mess with NO actual interaction between the players.
I know that my post might be ignored, but still I would love the makers of the game to think about a solution. Maybe do the cross-server after 6 months rather than a single month? Maybe do the cross-server an optional thing for people who actually want/need the chalange? I mean - too many people give up on the game because they realize that their first playing months mean they are just a slaughter meat for players from older servers and that's hardly any fun...
Maybe you can think of a way to give at least small Chance to the 'younger' servers? I mean - let's look at SWB - it is cross-server, but at least you can see your opponents, you can more or less guess who you should avoid and who you can try and battle. Newer players are still at a huge disadvantage BUT at least they are given a mean to fend off the predators. In Matsuri/DB/Arena we're just thrown into the hungry mouths of 'older' players, and even the weakest person from another server beats our numer one on auto... We can't avoid it or influence it...
Cross server arena is wonderful especially for a new serwer. It's been 3 days since it's on my server and it's been 3 days that I can't win a single time.
There is no way for me to compete against top tier teams.
Whoever thought it's a good idea is crazy or just plain * (most likely both). On my server most people already gave up on doing arena except 3-4 top spenders (but we all know that's who the game really is).
