Guys, why the hell would you automatically set people's emails as their username, it doesn't matter if part of it is censored, everything about that just seems incredibly irresponsible.

You absolutely should require a username/nickname at sign up instead of just your email.
Surely there's gotta be a privacy issue here that doesn't allow sites to do this sort of thing by default.

There isn't its suggested you Manuel change your settings upon getting your account here. I know it *s trust me I get it. But it can't be helped its how they're set up. you hide the information though so just work with it.

No idea where you got the ability to change your username, because I've looked in my forum profile, and it doesn't allow me to change it.

EDIT: Never mind. Apparently you have to click on your username on the forum, and not go to your profile page. Doing that, you can change your name.
