When you see an event, you know it was cross server in the past, and decide to spend alot of money on it, but it doesn't specify anything it just says top 10 but not top 10 what, you need to check the forum to make sure, especially with all the visual bugs we've seen, words or images missing, typos etc, otherwise you risk spending money for nothing! Like I said on raffle events it usually says when they are local, because they are usually cross-server! I don't remember if they specified when it was cross because I don't go for them, maybe they show rankings from other servers in that case and it is obvious again.

But here it was a visual bug not specifying that it is cross-server while in game and that is the only reason you deserve some sort of compensation, but you as a player spending without checking to see if it's right on the forum, cause it didn't seem right, have a part of the fault, maybe 20%. (or even more for thinking spending in such an event is a good idea)

In my country there was a visual bug at an electronics shopping center on black friday where 1000 $ TV's were shown for 1$ on the shopping center's website. They had to give the TV's to everyone that bought them for 1$.

There the company trapped itself by mistake, but here they trapped you as a player by mistake, but at the end of the day, you are the one who assumed it was a local event, when it might have been cross.

Never gamble like that unless you know you actually get what you spend for, notice how bad the rewards under top 3 are, those are not worth even 1000 coupons, let alone the minimum of 10.000 ingots.
