I am pretty sure it summons two clones in the upgraded version, but not 100% sure. The basic version summons one only.

To check your level status

Summons > Cultivation > (Select the summon) > Mystery

Only the upgraded version will summon (2)
To check your level status

Btw the text says 2 also for the not upgraded version so that's a typo to be reported.
